The POMPOM GALAXY quilt from Satomi Quilts combines curved and traditional piecing techniques, recommended for intermediate quilters and above. The pattern includes step-by-step instructions with many diagrams for four sizes: Wall hanging, Baby, Crib and Throw. It features two different block sizes—use the small blocks (MINI) to create a wall hanging (31.5 in. square) or a baby quilt (40 in. square), and the large blocks (JUMBO) for a baby quilt (42.5 in. square), a crib quilt (54 in. square), or a throw (54 in. x 65.5 in.).

The cutting method described in the instructions uses the half-circle templates. There's also a note suggesting the 'cut on fold' method as an alternative, so feel free to use whichever method works best for you! Both templates are available from Cut Once Quilts.
